DOUBLETREE BALLROOM LOBBY RENOVATION  |  Pittsburgh, PA
Owner  Elmhurst Group
Architect  Desmone & Associates Architects
Cost $640,000

In November 2009, Burchick Construction bid the ballroom renovation project and worked with the Owner during December 2009 to value engineer and redesign the main entry area from the existing hotel lobby.  This enabled the Owner to save money while maintaining the aggressive nine and one-half week schedule to complete the project.  The project entailed extensive new ballroom bulkheads with cove lighting, extensive wood trim, new radiused metal pan stairs with glass/stainless steel decorative railings, wood panel column wraps, wood pilasters and all new wood doors and hollow metal frames.  Burchick Construction was one of four prime contractors who had to coordinate all the work with the Owner to expedite the work and keep the job on schedule.
