BPMI – Food Service and Dining Areas
Between 2016 and 2021, Burchick completed a large building renovation and expansion for Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) in Monroeville, PA, through The Elmhurst Group.
The building addition included a 4 story, 100,000sf vertical structure and a full service kitchen, Café, and Dining Rooms on the First Floor.
Burchick worked with Elmhurst, BPMI, Desmone (Architect) and the MEP Engineers to provide the corresponding infrastructure to support the food service equipment installation.
The large dining area includes several private dining rooms and an outdoor pavilion and plaza to support over 1200 BPMI employees.
The kitchen and dining facilities were completed in 2019 and remain an integral feature of BPMI’s current operations to support the US Navy nuclear fleet.
