Owner  FRL Development | LP
Architect  Pieper O'Brien Herr Architects
Contract Value $2,950,000

In 2017, Burchick worked with the FRL Development Group to refurbish the building located at 225 Boulevard of the Allies. This is the 4-story building that was formerly occupied by the Red Cross.

The scope of work included significant demolition, rework, and upgrades to all areas of the building. The demolition scope on each floor was significant. In the core, the restrooms were gutted and upgraded on all four floors. The elevator lobby on each floor was also upgraded. In addition, the handrails in each of the two stair towers were upgraded to meet present day code requirements.

The renovation of the first-floor lobby included new wood faux ceilings and new marble flooring. A new glass vestibule was also installed, including a new glass canopy.

The first floor fit out also included new offices, conference areas, restrooms, and a fitness center.

The entire curtainwall system on the front of the building was replaced with a new glass façade.

At the main entrance on the front of the building, new accent marble was installed.

In the garage area, a new overhead security door was provided. New traffic coatings were also installed throughout the parking garage area.

New sidewalks and landscaping were installed along the Boulevard of the Allies to provide increased curb appeal.

Upon completion, the renovated 225 Boulevard of the Allies became one of the feature buildings near the busy Market Square District.
